“Open Ended” Questions

Knighthood:
Do you still feel the same about being a knight as you did before your elevation?

No, before being a knight was about meeting a goal, pursuing excellence. Now Knighthood is about responsibility, teaching and taking care of your people.

Fighting Philosophy:
You have to enjoy this game, love it, revel in its fun. If fighting isn’t fun, take a break, until it is fun for you again.

Training Philosophy:
Sparring is a great way to learn new things and to practice for the tournament field, however you also need to spend a good deal of time analyzing your shots, your shield work, etc. Slow Work with another person is my favorite way of learning new things.

Words of Wisdom:
SCA fighting is a way to be and feel glorious, while you fight you should revel in this. Make this game what you want it to be!
